“… if we turn to Him promptly and focus our attention on Him, and not on our thoughts or feelings, His calming Love will flow into our hearts, and He will help us respond….” So true! I discovered this through Grace just last month. My oldest son died, and if I think of MY loss, emotions erupt. But my suffering turns to joy when I focus on Jesus, and through prayer I receive His peace, and then I trust Him even more. It’s beautiful what God can do with our sufferings when we invite Him in.

It was mentioned on the Federation Webpage that one new novice, maybe the happy young person we see on the site here, is from my home turf, the San Francisco Bay Area. I’m thrilled that that an SF person wound up following the Lord’s call to my own mother’s home town of Brooklyn! My prayers are with you all.
